I have worked in many different art mediums since taking an oil class at age 20. After retiring, I decided to study Chinese Brush painting which takes me back to my own heritage. I found this ancient art form fascinating, as one must learn to control and how to apply ink on thin rice paper to get various tones and the qi energy of brush strokes. I was fortunate to have studied under Tom Chow, Henry Li, and currently with James Tan - a master from Canada in the style of Lingnan.  My focus is on landscape painting with spontaneous and loose strokes and I am also experimenting with Po Mo pouring ink that gives unique results .
