Linda Schroder

For many years I worked with leaded and fused glass, studying with George Yaki. At that time I also studied Tai Chi and Chinese culture and discovered Jean Shen’s Chinese brush painting classes. Chinese brush paintings are created with a variety of brushes from soft to firm, and a variety of papers from very absorbent to glass-like resistance. For me, painting with a Chinese brush is most exciting when brush and paper work in perfect harmony. Then my intent to convey the energy of a mountain, or flower, or person is inseparable from the harmony of brush and paper. It is an awesome process.
