She is past President of the Chinese Brush Painting Society and is on the Board of the American Association of Chinese Brush Painting. She has been studying Chinese brushstroke and calligraphy since 1990, with two masters of Chinese art, Jean Shen and Shantien Tom Chow, and at the China Art Academy in Hangzhou, China.
Lisa has won numerous awards including 1st place at San Diego Fair two years in a row, and has shown her work at the San Diego Chinese Historical Museum, Ontario Museum of Art, Poway Center for the Performing Arts, San Diego County Fair, UC San Diego, Borrego Art Institute, as well as other local galleries. Two of her watercolors are showcased in the book, The Wonderful World of Watercolor. Her work hangs in homes in California, Hawaii and the east coast. Lisa also teaches Chinese brush painting in various locales.
